Business Activity is a part of a business process consisting of a series of
activities implemented across workflow systems, ERP systems and legacy
applications, possibly across organizational boundaries.
[PO-JRA-1.2.1] Business Activity is an individual activity or unit of work performed in the business. An activity can be either continuous in nature (function) or discontinuous (process). A business activity performs a transformation with adding value to the product or service [INTEROP]. Business activities have usually individual dependencies just as generic activites do. In contrast to the generall meaning in economics (buying, selling, renting, investing), a business activity details a part of a business process. |
