Objectives
- To identify competencies, classify research results, provide information of research efforts being conducted and research actions being taken, and to identify potential connections between researchers and scientific results of the S-Cube beneficiaries in order to provide a comprehensive understanding of how those research efforts and competencies fit into the larger body of knowledge relating to service-based applications.
- To track research progress reported in publications that will be disseminated and shared during scientific meetings (e.g., workshops and conferences) in order to enrich the knowledge base of S-Cube.
- To provide a comprehensive overview of the state of the art and an in-depth analysis of the research areas relevant to service based applications (SBAs).
- To evaluate scientific community needs and to define a unifying view of the field in order to systematise the knowledge capital of the network beneficiaries.
- To define – based on the knowledge model – short- and long-term research agendas and to ultimately define a research roadmap for service-based applications.
- To provide an effective means of monitoring the convergence knowledge model and propose and evaluate practices by using a common set of indicators that include ease of use, coverage, and effectiveness of integration of research activities.
- To guarantee progressive assimilation of new knowledge, integration of experience reports, introduction of case studies, selection of benchmarking applications, and provide overall harmonisation and long-term integration of research activities.
